What This Processing Changes
A single decoded frame becomes a standalone image. Its clarity is limited by the source frame and video compression already present.
How to Check the Result
- Check the requested moment in each frame.
- The still has the source video’s dimensions; it cannot recover details lost in video compression.
Limits and Troubleshooting
- Pause near the intended moment and enter a valid timestamp.
- PNG avoids another lossy image encoding step but can produce a larger file than JPG.
Worked Example: Capture one PNG still at half a second.
- Upload sample.mp4 from the example below.
- Select Specific timestamps in Frame selection, then set timestamps: 0.5, Output format: png.
- Process and download; play the result from beginning to end.
Check Your Download
- Check the requested moment in each frame.
- The still has the source video’s dimensions; it cannot recover details lost in video compression.
Limit: Use comma-separated timestamps for explicit selection. Automatic sampling does not guarantee a specific scene.
